Custom Wedding Dress Terms, Payment & Refund Policy
Bride of the Kingdom by Khrystyna Ivanusa
At Bride of the Kingdom by Khrystyna Ivanusa, every wedding dress is created with care, attention to detail, and consideration of each bride’s individual preferences, measurements, and approved design.
These terms apply to custom-made wedding dresses, ready-to-wear wedding dresses, veils, and other bridal products, unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
1. CUSTOM WEDDING DRESSES
A custom wedding dress is individually created for the bride based on the selected design, measurements, fabrics, lace, embellishments, color, silhouette, and other agreed specifications.
Because a custom wedding dress is created specifically for one client, it is a final-sale item and is not normally eligible for return, exchange, replacement, or refund.
2. CUSTOM DRESS DEPOSIT
A minimum 50% deposit of the total price is required to begin a custom wedding dress order.
The deposit partially covers expenses associated with the order, including:
- Fabric and material purchases
- Lace and embellishments
- Design preparation
- Labor and production time
- Pattern and construction work
- Fittings and production scheduling
- Other expenses related to creating the custom garment
The bride may choose to pay the full purchase price in advance, but only a minimum 50% deposit is required to begin the custom order.
Once the custom order has been approved and production has begun, the deposit is non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the Designer’s responsibilities described below.
3. REMAINING BALANCE
The remaining 50% balance is due when the wedding dress has been completed and the bride has had the opportunity to inspect and try on the gown.
The remaining balance must be paid before the completed dress is released to the client.
If the bride has paid the full amount in advance, no additional balance will be due.
4. STORAGE OF A COMPLETED WEDDING DRESS
If the bride has paid the required deposit but wishes to leave the completed wedding dress with the Designer for storage until a later date, a minimum of 70% of the total purchase price must be paid before the dress is placed into storage.
The remaining 30% balance must be paid before the dress is released to the bride.
Storage of the completed dress does not change the final-sale policy or create a right to a refund, exchange, or cancellation.
5. FULL PREPAYMENT
The bride may voluntarily pay 100% of the purchase price in advance.
Full prepayment does not change the nature of the order or create a right to return, exchange, replacement, or refund where such return is otherwise excluded by this policy and applicable law.
6. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
If the bride decides to cancel a custom wedding dress order after the order has been approved or production has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.
If materials have already been purchased or custom work has already been performed, the client may also be responsible for costs already incurred in connection with the order, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
7. ALL WEDDING DRESSES ARE FINAL SALE
All wedding dresses are final sale.
Once a wedding dress has been purchased, the client may not return, exchange, replace, or receive a refund simply because she:
- Changed her mind;
- Changed her wedding plans;
- Changed her wedding date or venue;
- Found another dress;
- No longer wants the dress;
- Changed her preferred style;
- Changed her preferred fabric or details;
- Experienced a change in body size or measurements;
- Decided that she prefers a different design.
No returns, exchanges, replacements, store credit, or refunds are offered for these reasons.
This policy applies to both custom-made and ready-to-wear wedding dresses, except where a different remedy is required by applicable law or where the Designer has made a confirmed manufacturing or workmanship error.
8. DESIGN APPROVAL
Before production begins, the bride will have the opportunity to review and approve the major elements of the design, including style, silhouette, fabric, lace, embellishments, color, and other significant details.
Once the design has been approved and production has begun, changes requested by the client may result in additional costs and production time.
Additional work will be discussed with the client before proceeding.
9. CLIENT MEASUREMENTS
The Designer will take or review the bride’s measurements as part of the fitting and production process.
The client understands that body measurements may change between the initial measurement appointment and the final fitting.
Additional alterations may be necessary if the client’s body measurements change due to weight gain, weight loss, pregnancy, or other physical changes occurring after the original measurements were taken.
Additional charges may apply to alterations caused by changes in the client’s measurements or client-requested modifications.
10. DESIGNER’S RESPONSIBILITY
The Designer is committed to creating the garment according to the approved design, measurements, and specifications.
If the Designer makes a confirmed manufacturing, construction, or workmanship error, or fails to follow an approved specification, the Designer will make reasonable corrections at the Designer’s own expense.
This may include correcting a construction issue, a measurement error caused by the Designer, or an approved design element that was incorrectly executed.
The Designer’s responsibility is to correct the confirmed error and does not automatically create a right to a refund, exchange, or cancellation.
11. CLIENT-REQUESTED CHANGES
Any changes requested by the bride after the design has been approved or production has begun may require additional materials, labor, alterations, redesign, or reconstruction.
Such additional work may result in additional charges.
Changes requested by the client are not considered manufacturing errors by the Designer.
12. FITTINGS & ALTERATIONS
Wedding dresses are structured garments and may require fitting adjustments.
The Designer will work with the bride during scheduled fittings to achieve the intended fit of the approved design.
Alterations resulting from a confirmed Designer error will be corrected by the Designer at no additional charge.
Alterations resulting from changes in the client’s measurements or client-requested changes may be charged separately.
13. MATERIALS AND FABRICS
Fabrics, lace, beads, crystals, pearls, and other materials may vary slightly in color, texture, pattern, or availability.
The Designer will make reasonable efforts to use the materials approved by the bride.
If an approved material becomes unavailable, the Designer will discuss a reasonable alternative with the client before proceeding.
14. COMPLETION AND PICKUP
The bride is responsible for attending scheduled fittings, providing requested information, approving materials or design details when necessary, and making payments according to the agreed payment schedule.
Delays caused by the client may affect the expected completion or pickup date.
The completed wedding dress will not be released until the full purchase price and any approved additional charges have been paid.
15. SALES TAX
Applicable sales tax will be added to the purchase price of taxable wedding dresses, veils, and other taxable products.
The applicable tax will be calculated according to the state and local tax requirements applicable to the client’s purchase or delivery location.
Advertised or listed prices do not include sales tax unless specifically stated otherwise.
16. STORAGE
When a completed wedding dress is left with the Designer for storage, the minimum required payment is 70% of the total purchase price.
The dress will not be released until the remaining balance and any approved additional charges have been paid in full.
Any agreed storage period and applicable storage conditions should be confirmed with the client in writing.
17. PHOTOGRAPHS AND PORTFOLIO
The Designer may photograph completed wedding dresses, veils, and other bridal work for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, and promotional purposes.
Any use of identifiable client images will be handled according to any applicable separate image or model release agreement.
18. PAYMENT ACCEPTANCE
Payments may be accepted through the payment methods offered by the Designer at the time of purchase.
The client is responsible for ensuring that all payments are completed according to the agreed payment schedule.
19. CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By placing an order and paying the required deposit, the bride acknowledges that she has had the opportunity to review these Custom Wedding Dress Terms, Payment & Refund Policy and agrees to the terms applicable to her purchase.
The client understands that custom wedding dresses are individually made for her and that deposits and completed custom garments are subject to the final-sale and refund provisions stated above, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
20. BRIDAL APPOINTMENT FEE
Your $25 appointment fee is applied toward your wedding dress purchase. It is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment; after that, it is non-refundable.
